I would love to hear what exactly the league found wrong here. 5 minutes to go in a game that was already decided, JB makes a run at Jake who sees it coming and throws his back out in defence and to return the contact, He did not initiate the hit, was not looking for it and JB is the one going for a stupid play for no reason, Absolute disgrace It would be nothing but a funny clip of an epic fail of a hit had he not been injured in it.

It’s nothing reckless. Not a knee on knee or anything. The damage was done because of Boychuk coming into a wall at about 20 mph.

Shouldn't have even been a penalty. DOPS is a joke. But so is the league.

Wasnt sure if I'm just being biased but I just dont get it, The 5 minute was PLENTY of a penalty, I get the injury and its almot a no brainer now that they will ref on the outcome and not on the play itself but honestly 2 game suspension? No past issues whatsoever with Jake, He had enough idiots taking cheap runs at him the remainder of the game - complete and total bull

Nailed it!

The DOPS is asinine in their decisions. Voracek gets 2 games for an interference - but Malkin only gets one game for a head-high baseball swing with a stick.
Those guys are on drugs, and the DOPS should be shut down. There is absolutely no consistency with the calls.
It's really laughable - just a joke.

Yea I should. Gold clubs are great when your tv remote goes down during the playoffs and you want to raise the volume without getting up. Guess as a flyer fan you have other uses for them..like actually golfing? Anyways you're doing a great job, the golf club PD did well hiring you.

It's just wrong. Thought the 5 was excessive. Was thinking he would get screwed with a 2+2. Was pissed at the major.
Jake initiated the contact so interference but I didn't like the major. Jake not a repeat offender so a fine from dops. Since they are so (frank)ed up I thought with the hearing it would be one. To take a word from Regis in out door game, this ruling was EGREGIOUS!
Those guys just can't get it together.

I don't have a problem with the Zadorov hit - he already committed to the hit as the whistle was being blown. Remember this is thee fastest team sports in the world. Perhaps a roughing 2 minute minor penalty depending on the way the game was being officiated. Definitely not worthy of additional supplemental discipline IMO.
